On the home front: recently I made meatballs. No, they're not hard to make, but they do require quite a bit of time and effort. I followed the recipe in the Joy of Cooking, where I had to sautee some finely-chopped onion (that I first had to finely chop) and brown the post-mixed-and-formed balls of meat. They are very scrumptious, however, so I believe my effort was not in vain. Indeed, it has paid off quite well. Mmm mmm mmm! Meatballs!
On Sunday, to celebrate the day of rest and show my appreciation, I watched The Passion of the Christ. Wow. I can't seem to get used to it no matter how many times I watch it. I mean... wow. It really is somethin' else, what Christ went through for us and all. Somethin' else indeed. As a result, I've been reading my Bible more and reflecting on what I read instead of just reading it to get it read. However, I do still find joke pages like this to be extremely hilarious! HAHAHA!
On the work front: so I lent my hatchet to one of my coworkers so he can go kill a chicken. What?! Yeah, that's right. So he can go kill a chicken. Sound's kinda just a little bit weird, eh? Lemme 'splain: he's a vegetarian (kinda). His policy on eating meat is that he won't eat meat from an animal unless he feels he can kill and prepare the animal himself. So once he kills this chicken, he'll feel it morally acceptable to eat chicken thenceforth. Interesting theory, I reckon. He also wants to go fishing (or, in his words, "kill a fish"). Now, we just have to get him to kill a pig and a cow and we'll be in business!

Interesting
"To suppose that the eye, with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amount of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest possible degree.... the belief that an organ as perfect as the eye could have been formed by natural selection is more than enough to stagger anyone."- Charles Darwin
Yet if I had said something like what Darwin said above, they would throw something like the link above at me. Oh well, :-).
